Tony Livesey lands new TV role

BURNLEY-born journalist Tony Livesey will be the new presenter of “Inside Out North West” when the programme returns for a new series this month.

Tony, who started his career on the Nelson Leader, is a well-known face on the regional nightly news programme “North West Tonight” and a presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live.

He also fronts BBC One’s Football League magazine show, “Late Kick Off”, and previously presented the breakfast show on BBC Radio Lancashire.

Tony said: “As always the Inside Out team has a huge variety of films coming up in this series, from investigative reports to people’s personal stories. It’s a fantastic opportunity to unearth the best stories from across my home patch and throughout the North-West.”

Series editor Deborah Van Bishop said: “We are delighted to welcome Tony to the team. He has a fantastic background in radio and television news and is already a well-liked face in the region. We believe our viewers will enjoy his unique talent in storytelling.”

“Inside Out North West” returns to BBC One at 7-30 p.m. on Monday, October 17th.
