Tony Livesey appears on ‘Celebrity Mastermind’

BBC journalist Tony Livesey, who began his career with Leader Times Newspapers and who still lives in Pendle, appeared on the TV quiz “Celebrity Mastermind”.

Tony appears regularly on BBC television programmes such as “The One Show” and hosts his own show on Radio 5Live.

And in his nerve-wracking appearance in the quiz show’s famous black chair, Tony was pitted against comedienne Ava Vidal, marine biologist and TV broadcaster Monty Halls and radio presenter and Anglican priest the Rev. Richard Coles as the four were quizzed by host John Humphrys.

Tony chose the 1970s group The Jam for his specialist subject.

But he scored just five points to trail going into the general knowledge round.

And despite adding 11 points to his score in the second round, he only managed to squeeze past Ava to finish third overall.

The quiz was won by Richard Coles with 24 points, five in front of Monty and eight ahead of Tony.

His appearance can be seen on the BBC iPlayer website.
