Tickets selling like hot cakes for annual town bonfire and fireworks display

Tickets are selling fast for the annual Towneley bonfire and fireworks display.

The event takes place on Saturday and organisers are urging people to get their tickets for the dazzling event.

Tickets are available from St Peter’s Centre, Mechanics Theatre, Prairie Sports Village and Towneley Golf Shop, Burnley and Padiham Leisure Centre.

They are also on sale at Towneley Hall in Burnley but for cash only.

Tickets will also be on sale from the Burnley Council trailer outside Marks and Spencer store in Curzon Street on Saturday between 11am and 4pm.

Individual tickets are £3 each, £9 for a group of four people, and under-threes are free.

Parking passes for Riverside and Woodgrove car parks cost £5 per vehicle.

As it is a ticket only event all purchases must be made by 5pm Saturday and not tickets will be on sale after that time.

There will also be a funfair and catering added to the mix of entertainment and things to do on the night.

There will be a funfair on the night, which opens at 6pn and the bonfire will be lit at 6-45pm followed by junior fireworks at 7-15pm.

The main firework display is at 8-15pm. For safety reasons no sparklers, alcohol, glass bottles or pets are permitted.

A community event , the bonfire has been organised by Burnley Council, Burnley Leisure, 2BR, and Urbaser.
