TUESDAY, MAY 17
- Domestic building fire in Lancaster
Two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended an incident at a domestic property in Hammerton Hall Close at around 8.25am.
The fire involved a pile of clothing.
Firefighters used a bucket of water and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the flames.
One casualty was left in the care of North West Ambulance Service.
Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.
- House fire in Lancaster
Two fire engines from Morecambe attended an incident in Dee Road at around 1.45pm.
On arrival, firefighters found a fire, which was well alight, in a bedroom of a domestic property.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a positive pressure ventilation unit and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the flames.
Crews were in attendance for around an hour.
- Explosion in Skelmersdale
Four fire engines from Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Bamber Bridge were called to an explosion in a property in Tanfields at around 6.10pm.
Firefighters worked with Lancashire Police and North West Ambulance Service to make the scene safe.
- Road traffic collision in Colne
Two fire engines from Colne attended a road traffic collision in Skipton Old Road at around 6.20pm.
Firefighters used one hearth kit and the incident was left with North West Ambulance Service and Lancashire Police.
The fire service were in attendance for approximately one hour.
- Domestic building fire in Blackpool
Three fire engines from Blackpool and Bispham attended an incident in Kendal Avenue at around 11.05pm.
The fire involved the front door of a two-storey domestic property.
Firefighters used one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the flames.
Crews were in attendance for approximately an hour and 15 minutes.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 18
- House fire in Coppull
Four fire engines from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Chorley attended the incident in West End Avenue at around 1:55am.
Firefighters found an end-terraced property to be well alight on arrival, with the gas supply to the property affected.
Police closed a section of Spendmore Lane and adjacent properties were evacuated as fire crews made the scene safe.
Emergency services also worked to isolate the gas around the affected property, leaving approximately 75 properties without power until around 6am.
The incident was reduced to one fire engine at around 6.20am.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.
- Rescue of person in Blackburn
Two fire engines from Blackburn and one aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn attended an incident in Whalley Old Road at around 11am.
One casualty was released from the back of a cement truck.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
- Domestic building fire in Eccleston
Three fire engines from Penwortham, Bamber Bridge and Leyland attended an incident in Cortland Avenue at around 1.25am.
On arrival, firefighters found a fire, which was well alight, in a bedroom of a domestic property.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the flames.
One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
