New Call Telecom, which owns the Primus Saver brand, has launched a drive to recruit 30 new staff to its contact centre.

New Call has been actively increasing its presence in the area, since it relocated its Indian call centre operation, based in Mumbai, back to East Lancashire in 2011.

Nigel Eastwood, chief executive of New Call Telecom, said: “This recruitment drive is the latest effort to ensure we continue to have a quality team to support our rapidly growing business.

“Since launching the business in 2010, New Call Telecoms has gone from strength to strength.”

The campaign, which will boost New Call’s Burnley workforce by more than a quarter, includes an open recruitment day, from 10am to 5pm on Saturday November 16th, in Lindred Road, Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, Nelson.

New Call said it wants to recruit the best candidates, regardless of age.

Mr Eastwood added: “This latest recruitment drive follows the success achieved six months ago when we hired 60 staff for our contact centre, doubling the size of the workforce, which currently stands at 110 employees.

“Our team of experienced UK telecoms professionals have successfully established five strong brands, in addition to rolling out superfast fibre broadbandd earlier this year. It’s a transformational time for New Call and I look forward to welcoming the new recruits.”

The Burnley Express revealed in September that New Call is looking to transfer its operations to a base within Burnley’s Weavers’ Triangle in the near future. Currently based in Simonstone, it will move into larger, temporary accommodation in the meantime.
