Teen gang in Fence abuse women drivers: police appeal

Detectives are appealing for information after three female drivers were stopped and verbally abused by a group of teenagers on Monday night in Fence.

The first incident occurred around 5-30pm when a 22-year-old woman was driving on Cuckstool Lane. She was flagged down by three boys who began to shout abuse at her, at which point she drove off.

Around 50 minutes later at 6-20pm, a second woman was also flagged down by three boys as she drove on Noggarth Road. They shouted abuse and demanded she hand over the car. She then drove off.

An hour later at 7-20pm, it is believed the same boys gestured to a heavily pregnant 28-year-old woman to slow down as she was driving on Harpers Lane.

The woman stopped the car and one of the boys opened her door and began shouting at her while the other two stood on front of the car.

The woman managed to shut her door before driving away.
