‘Super factory’ takes shape on Burnley business park
The development, off Junction 9 of the M65, will be a technology distribution centre. A fifth of its 543,620 sq ft steel framework, around 220 tonnes, is already in place. The building team, Bowmer & Kirkland, expect to finish construction in May and to have the site fully operational by early 2017.

Hide AdWork began in the summer and so far nearly half of the service yard concrete has been poured.
To date, 3300 of 3911 pilings are in place to support the weight of the building. Steelwork erection will continue over the coming weeks, with precast concrete works and cladding starting soon afterwards.
Workmen are currently creating two distribution bays a day, and have made 65 of the 160 planned concrete pours.
The premises will be a hub for the technology distribution business Exertis. The firm is the largest concern yet set to operate from the 70-acre park being built by Eshton, a privately-owned property development and investment business based in Leeds.
