Sun shines as Thompson Park miniature railway re-opens
The sunshine was out for the re-opening of the miniature railway at Thompson Park in Burnley last Saturday.
And the first passengers for 2017 were Grace Astin (12) her little sister Evie (seven) and their cousin Harvey Astin who is almost two.
They enjoyed a ride out on the train which will be running every weekend from noon until 4pm and also on Bank Holidays and Wednesdays during school holidays.
The Burnley and Pendle Miniature Railway Society, which operates the line, have recently won a £1,000 windfall from the Tesco Bags for Help scheme which means they can start work on a platform extension and a third station.
