Study: Majority of Burnley couples "too busy" for romance

A Padiham boutique hotel is out to save romance after a survey showed that the majority of people in Burnley claim they are simply "too busy" for romantic gestures anymore.

As per their latest survey, the Lawrence Hotel on Church Street in Padiham revealed that 66% of people in Burnley admit that they take their partners for granted because they don't have the time to stop and say 'I love you' anymore.

What is more, 75% say that even when they do intend to pull out all the romance stops to do something special for an anniversary or birthday, reality falls always short due to a lack of time for planning.

“We welcome a huge number of couples to stay in the hotel for a birthday or anniversary celebration and there is often a last minute panic for gifts and treats," said Michael Huckerby, owner of The Lawrence, who said they offer everything from cupcakes and flowers. “But impressing your other half takes so much more than just the promise of a romantic weekend away."
