Spread some festive cheer this Christmas
Last year’s campaign smashed all previous records and organisers hope this year’s appeal will be just as successful.
The toys, for babies and children up to 16, will be distributed to children of families who will struggle to provide gifts this festive season.

Hide AdAnyone who wishes to donate gifts can leave them at Costa Coffee inside Tesco, Burnley, and at the Asda store in Princess Way.
There will also be a stall in the indoor market manned by Salvation Army volunteers. The stall will be opposite Claire’s Coffee Shop and will be open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10am and 2pm.
The Toy Appeal will run from Monday until Saturday, December 12th.
Lt Maisie Veacock, from the Salvation Army, said: “Often we struggle for suitable gifts for babies and teenagers so please consider these ages when choosing a gift. Selection boxes and other confectionery will be welcome but electrical items, those requiring batteries, DVDs and toy weapons are not suitable for the appeal. Donations of large bin bags would also be welcome.”

The toys are distributed through different agencies in the borough and any wanting to get involved are asked to contact Lt Veacock as soon as possible so they can be included in this years appeal on 01282 415840.
