Southport murder probe lodger is from Burnley

A MAN police want to speak to following the murder of a mother and daughter in Southport is from Burnley.

Barry Morrow (51) has not been seen since the bodies of Angela Holgate (54) and Alice Huyton (75) were found dead at Ms Holgate’s home at 5-45 p.m. on Saturday.

Post-mortem examination results showed they died of asphyxiation, with Ms Holgate dying before her mother.

Police are trying to trace Mr Morrow who lodged at the house and said they believed he may have information vital to the investigation.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We can confirm he is from the Lancashire area originally but has links to Burnley and Blackpool.”
