Slice of the pie for Burnley residential home

To celebrate British Pie Week, Holland’s Pies delivered more than 700 of its pies to some of the region’s most worthy causes.

And Lower Ridge residential home in Belvedere Road can thank the Holland’s Pies Facebook and Twitter community for their pastry windfall.

After Holland’s posted online asking for their followers to nominate a worthy cause, the business received over 100 worthy suggestions which were eventually shortlisted to 10.

Claire Siddall, registered care manager at Lower Ridge, said: “Our residents have spoken nostalgically about enjoying Holland’s pies at football games, from the chippy and with their grandchildren. We’re delighted to have been chosen as one of the ten winners.”
