It is the third large wildfire that Lancashire's fire service has had to contend with over the past few days.

Wildfires at Darwen Moor and and Longridge Fell are now under control, but fire crews remain at both sites this morning (June 3).

Four engines were stationed at Longridge Fell overnight to keep a watching brief before efforts resumed this morning to dampen down hot spots.

Three engines also remain at Darwen Moor this morning. Footage of the firefighting efforts during the peak of the moorland blaze can be seen in the video provided above.
