‘Shameless’ and ‘EastEnders’ actor Jody Latham arrested on suspicion of drugs offences

a TELEVISION actor who used to live in Pendle has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

Jody Latham, who has starred in “Shameless” and “EastEnders”, was held on suspicion of growing and supplying cannabis, after police attended a house in Bacup, where he now lives, in the early hours of Friday.

He used to live in Barnoldswick and Barrowford.

A Lancashire police spokesman confirmed a 29-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of production and supply of cannabis.

He was also questioned in connection with a Section 39 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

Jody, who attended Park High School, Colne, and Walton High School, Nelson, starred as Philip Gallagher in the Channel 4 drama “Shameless” between 2004 and 2008, and appeared as pimp Rob Grayson in “EastEnders” in February and March this year.

He also featured in the 2009 series of “Hell’s Kitchen” on ITV1, where he regularly fell out with his fellow contestants.

Police said he had been bailed until August 15th pending further inquiries.
