‘Shameless’ actress recreates ‘American Beauty’ naked pose for Comic Relief

The star of the hit comedy drama “Shameless” recreated the famous scene from Oscar winning film “American Beauty” by reclining naked – except for a few strategically placed red noses.

Alice, who now runs a hotel in Blackpool, but hails from Rosegrove, joined her “Shameless” cast colleagues to raise laughs and cash for Comic Relief.

And in typical “Shameless style”, there was an altercation with a comedy twist – a Red Nose fight outside The Jockey pub which is featured in the programme with the Maguire clan taking on each other and the rest of their estate.

Retiring to her boudoir for a lie down Alice, who plays local madam Lillian Tyler, took on the role of the American Beauty of the Chatsworth Estate in “Shameless”, swopping red petals with car red noses and monster red noses for the comedy scene.

Alice said: “What better cause to get my kit off for than for Comic Relief. I had an absolute ball and what an experience to be showered in car noses. I think I look better than the original – more classy and sophisticated.”

Red Nose Day is back on Friday, March 18th.
