Santa’s named England’s Takeaway of the Year

Staff at local takeaway Santa’s Pizza are celebrating after winning ‘Takeaway of the Year’ at the Food Awards England 2015.

More than 200 people attended the black tie event in Manchester where the company, which has branches across east Lancashire, won the regional and national prize.

The awards celebrate the very best in England’s food sector, and is based on a public vote.

Ishrat Mehdi, manager at Santa’s Pizza, said: “There were many businesses from all over England at the awards, and for Santa’s to be recognised was a great honour, but to actually win the regional and then the national award is an outstanding achievement.

“The hard work me and the staff have put in over the last few years has really paid off.

“I would like to thank everyone for their support and congratulate the Santa’s team for their well deserved achievement.”
