Santa Claus and his reindeer are coming to Chatburn

FATHER Christmas will be at Shackletons Home and Garden Centre, Chatburn, this weekend with his sleigh and two of his reindeer.

He’ll be at the garden centre between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 17th and 18th.

David Shackleton said: “We’re really looking forward to Father Christmas spending time at the garden centre with his reindeer, it should be very exciting.

“The reindeer are called Bellagio and Neptune and are two years old. They are ‘in training’ and when they are five years old they’ll go to ‘Sleigh School’ to learn how to pull a sleigh.”

The reindeer will be at the garden centre throughout the weekend and from Monday, December 19th, until Friday December 23rd.

Children are welcome to have their photo taken with Father Christmas. A photographer will be at the garden centre taking photos, which will be available to buy. Visitors are also welcome to take their own photos at no charge.

David added: “During the event we will be fund-raising for the North West Air Ambulance, which is a charity the garden centre has supported throughout the year. We’re hoping to raise as much money as possible.”
