The fun event at St Thomas’s Church in Wheatley Lane Road will feature a plant fair, books, jewellery and bric-a-brac stalls, home-made cakes and preserves, family amusements, tombola, hot and cold refreshments and much more. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

All funds raised on the day will help to support the charity’s round-the-clock support service in the area.

The fair runs from 10am to 2pm.

Samaritans branch director Sue Fetigan said: “The annual Spring Fair is a great day out and a lovely way to support the local branch.

“We’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who comes along on the day – and especially to all the volunteers and local businesses who help to make it such a fun day.

“We’re always here for callers – 24 hours a day, 364 days a year, but our service is entirely dependent on public donations to keep going.

“Last year alone, Burnley, Pendle, Craven and Rossendale Samaritans responded to 27,671 calls. Whenever we’re needed, whatever the reason, we want to be here to help.”
