Brothers Simon and Nick Mellin won Farming Partnership of the Year at the British Farming Awards, which celebrates shared values and skill sets within a partnership, and how these can then influence and develop the business.

Simon said: “Coming from a long heritage of farming and butchery it has been important to us right from the outset to work with local suppliers who share our sustainable practices. Many of these farmers have worked with our dad in the past and this relationship is now continuing with Nick and I.”

Simon and Nick are champions of native British breeds and, alongside their local farming partners, employ grass feeding techniques to ensure good quality, healthy cuts of meat.

Head butcher Nick said: “We’re delighted to win an award that highlights our continuous work in promoting British farming. We’re dedicated to providing the best produce we can for our customers, and it’s great to see this recognised in such a prestigious awards ceremony.”
