Roads sealed off as second Burnley siege continues
A serious incident in a Burnley house is still ongoing police say.
A stand-off involving armed police at a house in Hebrew Road in the Duke Bar area of Burnley was still ongoing around 9-40pm.
Firearms officers were called to the house at 4-30pm today where a man has barricaded himself inside. A police spokesman said negotiations with the man are ongoing and stressed that reports of a shooting or the man being armed with a gun, which have appeared on social networking sites, are false.
Surrounding roads are believed to have been closed off by police.
The incident is the second siege in Burnley in a week and follows a similar one in Lowerhouse last week.
