Goals from Jay Rodriguez, Erik Pieters and Jeff Hendrick opened up a three-goal cushion for the hosts at the midway point of the first half before Ivan Toney pulled a goal back for Posh. Rodriguez netted again after the break to put the game to bed while substitute Ricky Jade-Jones grabbed a second for the visitors.

Showed his strength when necessary, put his foot through the ball when required and won the majority of his battles. Picked up the pieces when the ball broke in and around Burnley's penalty area.
6. Aaron Lennon 8
Involved in everything the home side offered going forward. The winger had a hand in three of the four goals, getting the assist for Rodriguez's second, and effected the tie out wide and when moving infield.
7. Johann Berg Gudmundsson 7
The Icelandic international occupied some good positions on the left hand side and delivered when the opportunity arose. He was replaced by Taylor at half-time.
8. Jack Cork 7
Cork was the glue that held everything together in the middle of the park, pressing well to win the ball high up the pitch, displaying some neat touches to create space and linking play well.
