Protest petition about Pendle Community Hospital review
HEALTH campaigners will be out and about in Nelson and Colne town centres on Saturday morning collecting signatures on a petition protesting at any reduction in service levels at Pendle Community Hospital.
The future of 72 in-patient rehabilitation beds at the hospital in Leeds Road, Nelson, is currently under review and campaigners fear the closure of the beds will put remaining services there, such as a number of clinics, under threat.
A coupon inviting people to protest at the possible cloosure will also appear in Friday’s Leader-Times Newspapers.
