Police warn Burnley motorists not to make 'illegal and dangerous' right turns in town centre

Police are warning motorists in Burnley not to make "illegal and dangerous" right turns off of Manchester Road onto Grimshaw Street in the town centre.

A police spokesman confirmed that a number of complaints have been made about drivers carrying out the manouevre despite there being a NO RIGHT TURN sign attached to the traffic lights.

The spokesman said: "Grimshaw Street is a one way street and turning right onto it means turning into oncoming traffic.
