Police search for missing 12-year-old girl

Mia Sumner was last seen at her home address in Brent Street, Burnley, at around 8-15am today.

A police spokesman said: "It is thought that she has left the address without telling her family.

"We are concerned for Mia given her young age and because she hasn’t been in touch with her family to say she is okay.

"If you have seen her or know where she is, please get in contact with us immediately.

"Similarly if Mia herself sees this appeal, we would urge her to make contact with us or a family member so we know she is safe and well."

Mia is described as white, 4ft. 8in., of slim build with shoulder length dyed blonde hair and grey eyes. She may be wearing a green top and has links to Burnley, in particular the Burnley Wood area.
