Police pledge to monitor Burnley sex pest (23)

A MAN pleaded guilty to sexual activity towards a child and to outraging public decency, at Burnley Crown Court.

Jaroslav Pistol (23) formerly of Redvers Street, Burnley, was charged after a man was allegedly seen committing a sex act in front of a teenage girl in Church Street on November 5th last year.

A second offence occurred in a shop in Finsley Gate on November 16th. Pistol was captured leaving the store on CCTV and was arrested by police arrested two days later.

The defendant was due to face trial on Monday but he pleaded guilty to the charges and was slapped with a three-year community order with three years supervision.

He was places on the Sex Offenders Register for five years and police said he will be closely monitored by the Public Protection Unit. Officer in the case DS Liz Owens said: “This type of offence is rare but I hope this case shows that where it does occur, we will always carry out a full and thorough investigation to identify the person responsible and bring them before the courts.”
