Police have issued a warning to users of cash machines after a dozen reports of them being tampered with this weekend.

In the last couple of days, suspicious devices have been found on a number of Santander ATMs across the county, prompting the warning.

Police are urging people to take extra care when using cash machines and report anything suspicious to them by calling 101 and quoting log number 1067 of Saturday, March 26th.

Additional advice issued by the police also includes to not use a cash machine if it looks like it has been modified or tampered with and to protect your PIN and shield the keypad when entering the number.
