Police hunt gang after ‘drive-by slashing’ in Burnley

A MAN was slashed across the face in a “drive-by” attack in the early hours of Sunday.

The 26-year-old victim received hospital treatment after being cut with a knife after an altercation outside Guys as Dolls nightclub in St James’s Street.

Police said the attack took place in nearby Calder Street following an argument between the Asian victim and a group of other Asian men. The men got into a dark Vauxhall saloon-style car and drove past the victim as one of its occupants slashed him across the face. The car then drove off at high speed around 3-30 a.m.
