Police appeal to trace ‘vulnerable’ missing man

POLICE are appealing for information about a 51-year-old missing man who is believed to be in Burnley.

Tim Allen, of Sharoe Green Lane, Preston, was last seen at 6pm on Monday, November 12th, at Burnley General Hospital but has not been seen since.

Tim suffers from mental health issues and police say he is extremely vulnerable. They are appealing to anybody with any information about his whereabouts to contact them.

PC Tony Tharme said: “We are concerned for Tim’s welfare, particularly as his disappearance is out of character and he may require medication.

“Tim may stand out as he is likely to be walking on his tiptoes. I would appeal to anybody that thinks they have seen him or know of his current whereabouts to contact police on 101. It is possible he may be in an agitated state so I’d ask people not to approach him.”

Tim is white, around 6ft. 4in. tall, overweight with dark brown receding hair and brown eyes. He has a black panther claw tattoo on his left bicep but was wearing blue jeans, a pale blue jumper and pale blue anorak. He was also carrying a khaki green rucksack.

Tim is a loner and has no connection to Burnley but police believe he is still in the town and are appealing for people to be vigilant.

Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101.
