The 36-year-old victim, from Barrowford, sustained minor injuries to his back and leg.

The incident stemmed from an earlier argument between the drivers in Churchill Way.

PC Matthew Hartup said: “This incident has taken place on a busy road during rush hour so I am confident somebody will have witnessed it.

“It would appear both drivers had been involved in an earlier altercation which has continued onto Glen Way.
