They started out from the Ghausia Mosque, in Clayton Street, accompanied by Mayor of Pendle Coun. Asjad Mahmood and host imam from the mosque, Qari Khalid Mahmood.

And it was quite a walk. They set out along Clayton Street to Scotland Road, then via Rook Street and others went all the way through to Brunswick Street, reached Chapelhouse Road, came down via Lomeshaye Road to Manchester Road, then on to Every Street before returning to the mosque.

“The Imam, Qari Khalid Mahmood, was thankful for the response from the public, and the police and St John Ambulance people who took part.”
