Photos of Pendle Hill needed for store’s competition

THE team at the new DFS store on Boundary Retail Park, Colne, are looking to add a little local flavour to their store ... and need local people to help them do it.

To bring a little bit of the area into the new store, DFS asked local people which three landmarks they loved the most, with the one with the most votes out of the three winning.

To celebrate the winning landmark, DFS is launching a photography competition to find a photo of the landmark to hang in the store.

Would it be the Blackpool Tower or Lancaster Castle, the Forest of Bowland or Pendle Hill? The public have spoken and Pendle Hill has been crowned as Lancashire’s favourite landmark.

Area manager Adam Hankinson said: “We spent a great deal of time this year getting to know the community and really wanted to find out what it was about this area that inspired them.”

As voted by local people the top three landmarks were Pendle Hill in first place, the Forest of Bowland in second place and Blackpool Tower third.

To help the new store really feel like part of the community, DFS is looking for budding photographers to take their best shot of Pendle Hill and enter it in a competition to see their photo made into a canvas to be hung in store.
