Two people cut free from car and taken to hospital after Burnley crash

Firefighters used cutting equipment to release two trapped casualties after a serious collision in the Briefcliffe area of Burnley yesterday (Monday).

Two fire engines from Burnley attended the road traffic collision on Todmorden Road at around 10-20pm. Paramedics were also in attendance.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters used cutting equipment to extricate two casualties who were taken to hospital by ambulance."
