Snowmen, sledging and snowball fights were the order of the day after residents in the Ribble Valley enjoyed the wintry New Year weather.

Heavy snow on Saturday saw people digging out their sledges and heading for the nearest hill to get an adrenalin rush.
Others chose a walk in the winter wonderland or a snowman-building session - even if some preferred to stay inside wrapped up warm.
