Royal Navy talk for grateful Burnley Probus members

The Burnley Probus Club recently welcomed a Royal Navy commander to talk about life in the naval warfare force today.

Commander Mark Hammon's informative presentation covered a number of topics including the the different types of rescue and supply work carried out in countries across the world and the role the navy plays in protecting the UK's territorial waters.

The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Burnley, Coun. Anne Kelly, and her consort, John Kelly.
