Rosegrove households urged to join in first ever scarecrow festival

Residents of Rosegrove Lane in Burnley are being asked to take part in a special community event later this month.

The first Rosegrove Lane Scarecrow Weekend is being arranged under the Good Neighbours Project banner, by the Rosegrove Neighbourhood Watch group.

The fun weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 25th and 26th, and organisers are calling on households to place a scarecrow in their front gardens between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

More community events are being planned in the Rosegrove area including a lantern procession and Remembrance Day poppy display.
