Ribble Valley Ride cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak

Organisers announced the news earlier this week on their Facebook page and more information regarding refund of entry fee will be available soon.

A spokesman said: "The organising committee have had an emergency meeting and in the light of the fast moving Coronavirus pandemic we have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year's event. The last 48 hours have seen a real escalation in the situation. It was felt that the next few weeks will see this only escalate further. This has left us with little choice, but to cancel. While all our work is focused on running the event, we must prioritise the health and well-being of riders and their families, as well as the army of helpers and volunteers needed for the day of the event. With some limitations on gatherings already being implemented it was felt the only responsible decision was to cancel the event. You will no doubt understand that our partners at SiEntries are currently inundated with postponements and cancellations. If you have already entered the Ribble Valley Ride please be assured that we will get back to you as soon as ever possible with options regarding refund of your entry fee, but please be patient, as everyone is working flat out.
