Ribble Valley ghost walker and tour guide live streams spooky tales to the nation

Simon's vast collection of stories including the Pendle Witches, Jack the Ripper, The Battle of Arnhem and the textile riots - starting from this Thursday onwards (April 2nd) - is set to send chills down audiences' spines!

Simon is in high spirits about the initiative. He said: "Self-isolating can be a long day, but unfortunately very necessary. Many of us have access to the internet and social media and this can relieve the boredom of being kept inside all day. I have lost all my coach tours until further notice and like everyone else I am self-isolating, Over the years I have built up a huge range of stories from across the Red Rose County and Facebook live is a fabulous way of telling stories to an audience . I aim to bring two stories a day via Facebook at 11am and 7pm from this Thursday onwards. I will focus on heritage stories in the morning and spooky tales at night. I will also feature stories of local heroes, local villains and some mystery tales so watch this space!"

Simon, a renowned Clitheroe historian, is no stranger to storytelling. His firm, Top Hat Tours, sees him traversing the length and breadth of Lancashire shouting loud about the county he is so proud of. And he was recognised for his remarkable work when he was crowned Lancashire Tourism Superstar winner - the only category decided through a public vote - at the Lancashire Tourism Awards in 2018.
