Police appeal after bogus builder steals a large sum of money from Clitheroe pensioner

Police have released a video of a man they want to speak to after an elderly Clitheroe man was targeted by a bogus builder.

The conman offered to carry out work at the victim's address off West View and was invited into house. Once inside, he stole a wallet containing a substantial amount of money.

The incident happened yesterday (Thursday) at 3-30pm.

Police investigations are continuing. A spokesman for Ribble Valley Police said: "It is thought a bogus type builder has offered to conduct work at an elderly man's address and been invited in, before stealing a wallet containing a substantial sum of money. Were you in the area at that time? Did you see anything suspicious?
