In pictures: Burnley Cub Scouts' 'virtual camp out' was a roaring success

Around 50 Cub Scouts across Burnley took part in their first ever 'virtual friendship camp' at the weekend.

A joint venture between St Stephens, St Matthews with Holy Trinity and Worsthorne Cub Scouts, the children had to cancel their original plans for their annual camp trip to Waddecar Scout Activity Centre near Preston due to the pandemic.

So they improvised and set up 'camp' in their gardens or indoor dens with some sleeping on trampolines and hammocks and they made camp fires, toasted marshmallows and took part in a series of games and challenges.
