Phoenix Archery members compete at the NFAS National 3D championship, Markshall Estate, Colchester

A Burnley-based archery club was on target at the NFAS National 3D Championship held at Markshall Estate in Colchester.

The competition saw over 500 archers assemble and compete to be crowned National 3D champions inlcuding Phoenix Archery members who practice at Habergham Mill in Coal Clough Lane, under Mark Duerden.

The local winners were:

Liam Carter, Under 16 boys, Unlimited, 1st Place; Mathew Slater, Under 12 boys, Traditional Bow Hunter, 3rd Place; Kath Harrison, Ladies Bow Hunter, 2nd Place. Raynor Pepper, Ladies Crossbow, 1st Place.
