News that smaller weddings can resume in the spring and other weddings resume from June 21 has been welcomed by venues across the county.
At the Crofters Hotel on Lancaster New Road at Cabus, near Garstang, proprietor Nicola Cheetham said: "I think it's quite positive that it's moving forward. It has been a long road and people have had to move (dates) quite a few times. The phone has not stopped ringing. Everyone is getting quite excited ... I think there's going to be a big appetite for weddings - there's a pent up demand, do doubt about it."

Nicola said: "We have a really large outdoor area, just refurbished and under cover. It's very exciting for us."
The Government has warned that the wedding re-start dates will be subject to review nearer the time. But as from March 8 small wedding parties of up to six will be permitted. From April 15 that number rises to 15 and from May 30 some 30 people can attend.
Weddings without a number restriction are set to resume from June 21 at the earliest.
