North Yorkshire firefighters drafted in to help battle tractor excavator blaze in Ribble Valley

Firefighters spent almost three hours putting out a blaze in a tractor excavator in Slaidburn yesterday afternoon.

Crews from Clitheroe, Barnoldswick and a fire engine from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service got the call to Wigglesworth Road at 2-20pm where they found the vehicle on fire .

They tackled the flames using a foam hose, triple extension ladder, breathing apparatus and an environmental grab pack.
