A GoFundMe page has now been set up by Megan's younger brother, Josh Byrne, 19, to raise money for her funeral.

Josh said: "I set up the Go Fund Me page because I wanted to help my parents with the organisation of everything after the tragic event.

"I wanted to take some of the load off their shoulders, and because it was so sudden and unexpected, I knew preparations wouldn't have been made.

"There aren't enough words to explain how special she was and how missed she will be.

"So far the response has been exceptional. Even if people were only donating what seemed like small amounts, it meant so much to us as a family and towards the fund."

At the time of writing this, 319 people have donated to the fund and a total of £6,320 has been raised.

One person who donated to the fund said: "Our hearts are broken for all of you.

"Thinking about you all and sending everyone much love."

Another said: "A beautiful soul taken much too soon!

"An opportunity to make a lasting memory in her honour."

The money raised will go towards Megan's funeral costs, and will help her family giver her "the final farewell that she deserves."

Josh added: "To anyone who has made a donation I want to say thank you all so much.

"People's donations have let us organise what Megan would've truly wanted and as a close family it also relieves a huge amount of stress from us.

"Thank you everyone again, the support shown by the community has been astounding and it's really nice to know how many people want to support it."
