Monster author in town to inspire budding writers

Award winning author Edward Trayer was on hand to inspire budding young writers at Shuttleworth College, Padiham.

Trayer, who writes under the pen name Billy Bob Buttons, recently won the UK People's Book Prize and was in town to promote his new book Muffin Monster.

He led a creative writing session for year seven and eight students.

Lead Practitioner in English and Literacy Rebecca Roach said: "Meeting a successful author is a great opportunity for students.

"It can inspire them to pen their own creations as well as engaging them with new literature and developing a love and passion for reading and the written word."
