The sale of the annual lots, which had been donated by KSC members and parishioners, saw an impressive grand total of £730 raised, which was then added to the KSC's charity pot.

Grand Knight, Trevor Ireland said: "This will be added to the money previously raised and will mean that at least £2,500 will be shared between the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and the Handicapped Children's Fellowship to support their work with children.

"We hope to present the cheques at a Charity Concert in the Club on Friday, 21st April," he added. "I would like to thank all those who made donations, those who bought the lots and all those who helped make the afternoon a great success."
