Jazz musician entertains Chatburn residents
Residents at The Manor House were thrilled to have a great afternoon’s sing-a-long with the amazing smooth singer Arthur Geldard.
He hit the high notes under the gazebo outside the Chatburn home with a varied repertoire from The Rat Pack, Micheal Buble, Big Band, and even a famous Vera Lynn song.
Arthur's granddad and aunt were in the appreciative audience and looked immensely proud.
During these past few months, Arthur has been busy giving his neighbours a free garden concert every Sunday as a way to ease the lockdown blues. He live streamed himself singing a collection of jazz songs from his own front garden on Waddington Road in Clitheroe. And much to his delight, the videos amassed thousands of likes and shares.
A spokesman for the Manor House said: "Everyone had a fabulous time. Arthur has done a great job entertaining outside his home weekly throughout the pandemic thrilling many people, all of course respecting social distancing."
