Firefighters called out to grass fires in Burnley and Padiham
Firefighters were called out to deal with two grass fires in Burnley and Padiham yesterday.

The first call came at 3pm to a woodland area near to Eton Close in Padiham. Crews from Padiham extinguished the fire using three beaters and an aqua pack. They remained at the scene for around 20 minutes.
At 10-15pm crews from Nelsonwere called to extinguish an fire involving an area of grassland near Underley Street, Burnley.
The fire, covering a 50m area, was extinguished by firefighters using beaters and an aqua pack.
