Family's Sainsbury's bag-pack raises £1,300 in memory of Burnley dad
After father-of-three Damian Stuttard died in September 2017 following a four-month battle with an aggressive brain tumour, his wife, Lisa, and sister, Keira Crossley have embarked on a fundraising push for the Brain Research Trust, a British medical research charity, in an effort to accelerate any potential breakthroughs in brain cancer research.
Also seeking to raise awareness of the importance of brain cancer funding, Damian's family managed to raise an amazing £1,348 through their charity bag-pack at Sainsbury's on Active Way in the town: the most the store has ever seen raised in such an event.

"It was the most Sainsbury's has ever raised in a day for a bag-pack, so we were chuffed at that.
"We did a bit of a raffle as well, and the children sold sweets and were on all the tills helping out," Keira added. "It was something for the whole family: Damian's children were there, my children were there, and they were really interactive with the customers. They answered questions and we all spoke really openly about what had happened, and so everybody donated."
Keira and Lisa will also be running the London Marathon next week for the Brain Research Trust, with those wanting to donate to their cause able to do so by heading to their JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/damoburnley.
