Education, town centre and leisure facilities in Clitheroe set to benefit from cash boost of almost £900,000 from housebuilder

A housebuilder, which is preparing to create a development of over 100 homes in the Ribble Valley, is to pump almost £900,000 into Clitheroe.

Miller Homes has announced it will contribute £870,000 to the community.

Around £600,000 will go towards education and supporting local schools close to the new development, Montague Place, Clitheroe, which will will feature a total of 110 new homes, consisting of two bed bungalows, and three and four bedroom houses.

The award winning company will also contribute over £70k to town centre upgrade works and public open space improvements. Alongside this, £200k will also go towards public transport and off-site leisure in the area.

Leanne Feeley, regional sales manager for Miller Homes in the North West said: “The funds of over £870,000 will aim to further support Clitheroe as a town and make it an even more fantastic area to live.

"We’ve already been blown away with the overwhelming sense of community in this area and are proud to be contributing to that.”

Following a digital launch of homes at Montague Place, the first phase is now available to view and reserve online.
