Fire crews from Burnley were called out to Gorple Road, next to St John's Church, just before 6pm on Friday where they found the vehicle well alight.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance approximately ninety minutes and an investigation by police and the fire service i to the cause of the blaze is now underway.
Later that same evening crews were called out to a blaze at a house in Woodbine Gardens in Burnley.
Four firefighters used breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one ventilation unit and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the flames at the property.
They administered first aid to one casualty before paramedics arrived. Crews were at the scene for around four hours and 15 minutes.
